As the price of electricity increases, some individuals and families may experience hardship. Support is available for some circumstances to help Queenslanders cope.
The Queensland Government Solar Bonus Scheme pays eligible customers for the surplus electricity generated from solar photovoltaic (PV) panel systems, which is exported to the Queensland electricity grid. It was introduced to make solar power more affordable, stimulate the industry and encourage energy efficiency.
If you’ve lodged a complete network connection application with an electricity distributor before midnight 9 July 2012 you are eligible for the Queensland Government Solar Bonus Scheme (the Scheme).
